How does Chas outwit Mr Liddell? He wrote that Boddser Brown had the best collection and that Boddser had a German helmet, some German money and a picture of a German girl. Why does Chas's Dad not ask him if he knows anything about what the police are looking for? Because he is furious with the policemen and doesn't want to help them.
Why are the authorities so concerned about the gun? Because a kid has it with around 2000 shots of live ammo that can smash through a brick wall from a mile away.
Why do the think it's a child that took the gun? Because the cut is really rough, an adult would cut it smoothly.
Why don't the police look in the rabbit hutch? Because it isn't big enough for a machine gun.
